It is the ideal place for nature lovers. The wide beaches of fine white sand and intense blue waters that are home to numerous reef formations stand out, forming a garden of sea fans that extends over a wide length. Punta Sur is a state reserve whose extension exceeds one thousand hectares, in which lagoon systems predominate that constitute a mosaic of great richness and diversity of flora and fauna, strongly protected in awareness of the importance of this ecosystem. Entering Punta Sur is transporting yourself to a natural paradise where you find a great variety of birds and animals that you can only appreciate there. How much with an observation tower for crocodiles in their habitat, the Celarain Lighthouse and the Museum of Navigation, the Temple of the Caracol (pre-Hispanic Mayan lighthouse) and an extensive dream beach of more than 1km.
Take some time to explore the Caracol Mayan Ruins and the Faro Celarain Lighthouse that houses a small Maritime Museum. You will enjoy spectacular panoramic views from the top of the lighthouse. There is also an amazing Catamaran or Kayak tour available across the Colombia Lagoon.
